Coach Willson is starting his 2nd season as the Tritons Head Coach. In his first year he led the Tritons to a playoff win and to a record of 11-12-1 along with four conference players and one all county player; Erik Chaparro, Jerry Martinez, Wyatt Walorinta, and Miguel Marquez. Coach Willson is a 2013 graduate from the University of Central Arkansas. He started his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2013 under Head Coach Allen Gum, who led the bears to their first NCAA Regional Appearance in Starkville Mississippi that season. As a senior in 2012 at UCA Coach Willson was named to the All-Southland Conference (played/started: 55/55), All-Southland Conference Team, All-Academic Team and racked second on team and tied for eighth in SLC with 40 RBIs and hit .308. Willson lead the team with 65 hits and 13 doubles and also collected 31 runs, 4 home runs, 3 stolen bases and slugged .427. On the mound Willson had a record of 2-2. Before that Coach Willson attended local Oxnard College where he was the Western States Conference Player of the Year, Rawlings/ABCA first team All-American in 2010 under Head Coach John Larson, Roger Frosh, and Steve Hernandez. He hit .331 with 40 runs, 45 hits, 8 doubles, 5 home runs, 35 RBIs and 4 stolen bases, .500 slugging percentage, and .440 on base percentage. Willson also had some pitching experience, on the mound he went 7-3 with a 2.57 ERA, 16 appearances, 8 starts, 4 complete games and 1 shutout. Coach Willson was a graduate form Adolfo Camarillo High School in 2008.
Blake Redman is coming into his 2nd year as the pitching coach at Pacifica High School. And is key figure in helping develop our young pitchers. Blake attended Loyola Marymount University and Left LMU with the lowest walks-per-nine mark in program history (min 150 IP) over his two-year career (1.29)... went 11-12 with a 4.40 ERA over 32 appearances and 25 starts for the Lions... combined on a pair of shutouts and logged 153.1 innings of work... walked just 22 hitters while striking out 119... 2015... Rawlings/ABCA first team All-American... Southern California All-State and Pitcher of the Year... Western State Conference North Division Co-Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year... Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame Oxnard College Athlete of the Year... went 13-1 with a 2.08 ERA over 14 starts and 112.1 innings... won every one of his starts in the regular season... totaled six complete games while striking out 66 to just 16 walks... averaged 5.29 strikeouts per game...Coach Redman graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 2013.
Parker Hindle is coming into his 1st season with the Tritons. He will be in charge of developing our catchers, hitters, and defense. Coach Hindle played at Moorpark College and earned a scholarship to Cumberlands University and is now getting his teaching credential at CSUCI. Coach Hindle graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 2011.
